This film series, conceived in close collaboration with Arthur Jafa, focuses on the concept of "Black Visual Intonation”, which describes the specific vibration of blackness in the US. The aesthetic matrix of this cinema results from the transposition of the rhythms, frequency and sound instability of black music into the world of moving images. A series of 38 films, many of which have never been screened in Portugal, that reviews Black Cinema, through Jafa’s work.
